Create Modules on sides of Slideshow Container

Hello.. OK.. this maybe a stretch.. but I'm going to try anyway. I reduced my slideshow container, leaving space on both sides of the container. Is there a way to create custom modules to use in these spaces? I want to possibly use for content. If not.. it's OK..

Sorry to say this is not really an option.

Have you considered simply using the top-1# module positions?

Hello Ciaran,

Yes, but I could not get top-1 to move up in the area using css code. I need it to move up next to a video I have in the slideshow container.. However I played around with the header-1 position, used css code and was able to push it down in the slideshow container area, but I was not able to move it move closer to the left or right side (s). Has to be a way... is there a restriction on the left and right margins? Unable to make content or images flush. Thank u again.
