To amend you can add the following to the Responsive Custom CSS fields within the General -> Responsive Options tab of your template settings. If you wish to move the image before the article on smaller screens then you can also add the following...

.blog-alternative .item-image {

    order: -1;

}

Your example uses the Category Blog - Alternative menu item. The Maya template example uses the Category Blog. To change navigate to Menus -> [YourMenu] -> [YourMenuItem]. From the Menu Item Type field select Category Blog - Alternative.

To amend the order, try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....
