Hi Ciaran,

After uploading the demo installation, my browser keeps redirecting to http://domain.com/installation/index.php and returning a red screen alert. I have tried just about everything: temporarily removing all .txt files, lowering the PHP version, manually renaming the configuration-dist to configuration.php and dragging it to the root. Nothing seems to work. The provider cannot find any issue either. This occurs with all J4 templates on PHP8.
In earlier succesful installations I noticed that there is no configuration.php in the local extraction folder, but there is remote. Is that file created during the process? Might it be possible that it cannot be created and therefore the browser is redirected?

Hope you can help me out, thanks in advance!

Hello

The configuration.php is created on a successful install. An install failing can happen for any number of reasons however incorrect write access is certainly one of the more common issues. Have you tried installing a standard Joomla install package? If this also fails then it is likely a server issue rather than an issue with the install package.

In the meantime, I have just updated the Chelsea and Artisan template to the latest Joomla version and rebuilt the demo installer for each which should hopefully resolve any issues relatest to the install package. To obtain simply re-download from your template downloads.

Chelsea and Artisan. I think the issue may be that the configuration.php cannot be extracted/created due to restrictions on the server? However, I've used the demo installer numerous times - built another website on Artisan a few weeks ago - and the hosting provider states nothing has changed on their server. I've tried on two different servers.

Hello

On which template are you having this issue? I will try replicating the issue locally.

Here's a screenshot of the error page.
This is all I see, and as said the url is http://domain.com/installation/index.php, no matter which other url I want to approach. /administrator doesn't work.

The red background with 'Sorry, a problem occurred that we could not solve 'The server returned a "500 - Whoops, looks like something went wrong."

When approaching the server through php, the configuration.php is not in the root.

Hello

Yes, the configuration is created during the installation. Could you please detail the alert error you are receiving?
