Hi
http://www.orchardcottagedalston.co.uk
My client wishes to have "home" in the menu bar on all the pages apart from the homepage. I have shown her that clicking on the the logo executes this but she feels that some people may not understand that.
Also she would like more of the slideshow images and less of the background visible. I tried altering the image dimensions but this didn't seem to do the trick.

Hi Ian

Could you add a 'Home' menu item to your top menu. You can then hide this menu item using something like the following where 490 is your home menu item ID...

#hornav .item-490 {
display: none;
}

You will need to create a template style (http://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/item/creating-multiple-template-styles) specifically for your homepage to which you will add this CSS to the Custom CSS field.

Just to confirm I understand you correctly you wish to reduce the space above and below your slideshow?

Hi Ian

To reduce the space above the slideshow try adding the following to your Custom CSS where 50px is the new spacing (default 80px)..

#container_hornav {
margin-bottom: 50px;
}

For below the slideshow try adding the following..

#container_top1_modules {
margin-bottom: 50px;
}
