Hi Ciaran:
I want to be able to defer my css for optimizing the site for speed.

However when I did that the site formatting I had on there broke so I was wondering if there is a best practice where it concerns your templates. Should I definitely put the custom css into a custom.css file? or does that make a difference?

Thanks
Lisa

Hi Lisa

Derring CSS can be problematic as it causes a flash of unstyled content when each page loads. Regarding the custom CSS, it will not make a substantial difference for you. If your server is not running HTTP2 then using the 'Custom CSS' field would be marginally better.

Would you have a URL to the site in question?
